If there is one thing that affects both men and women, it is this: an uncomfortable scalp. Find out how to avoid it and let your hair breathe.
The diagnosis :
For men, oily, irritated and flaky scalps can be caused by pollution, the hair products they use or wearing caps or helmets. For women, the same symptoms can occur especially after coloring, as coloring product residues are deposited on the scalp.
There is an old-fashioned technique, which involves applying coarse salt diluted in water during rinsing.
I used to use this remedy regularly in my salon. It was with this in mind that I developed the Cleansing Purifying Scrub with Sea Salt, a product specially formulated for sensitive and oily scalps. Rich in sea salt and hydrating active ingredients, it is ideal for freeing the scalp of impurities. It also has soothing and hydrating effects.
My extra tip :
You can also use it at home as part of an effective scalp detox routine. Start with the scrub, which is applied just like a shampoo. You only need a small amount of this highly concentrated formula to get results. Take a small amount of scrub and emulsify in your hands, then apply on damp hair. Add a trickle of water and lather, gently rubbing your head in circular motions to stimulate the blood circulation and lift the hair away. Concentrate on the nape of the neck, which is prone to irritation, then rinse. The product can be used as an occasional treatment for itchy scalps, or as a purifying treatment twice a week.
To complete the detox routine :
It is important to apply a nourishing product on damp hair. You can apply my Regenerating Mask with Rare Prickly Pear Seed Oil as an intense treatment, for example. Use my Finish Lotion with Sage Vinegar to complete this ritual, for hair that stays bouncy and radiant for longer. Simply spray from root to tip for the perfect finish! This lotion leaves hair feeling healthy, rebalanced and soothed. Scalp comfort is restored and hair feels lighter, cleaner and appears more luminous for longer. For men, the Finish Lotion can be alternated with the sandalwood leave-in conditioner, which works as a styling product.
